Aho! Bird is a random black crow in Penguin Village. This crow barks out the phrase "Aho!" (阿呆, aho) as it passes by, which means "Idiot" or "Dumb" in Japanese and is also a Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound a crow makes. In the English release by Viz, it shouts "Dimwhit".

The Birth of Arale[]

It appears in Arale-chan's Birth, the anime adaptation of The Birth of Arale!, flying by and saying "Aho!" when Senbei Norimaki is walking with Arale Norimaki to the Coffee Pot.
It's first appearance in the manga is in Here Comes Arale where it passes by not saying anything when a random student throws a ball during P.E. class.
In Is It a Girl? Is It a Boy!?, it flies over the Norimaki Residence yelling "Aho!" after Senbei tried using Gatchan to sharpen a pencil but it didn't work.
