- This is the first time the ending theme Arale-chan Ondo has been used.
- This movie has the exact same format and length as an episode of Dr. Slump and Arale-chan while even including the Waiwai World intro at the beginning and since it was released after the episode Our Hero Suppaman and before Arale's Errand/Yay Yay Wildland it can be considered as "episode 14.5". This makes the film more like an episode of the anime.
- It was shown in theaters before a Japanese rerelease of One Hundred and One Dalmatians during its original release.
