Senbei Norimaki loves Midori Yamabuki, but he cannot confess it to her. One day, they find a videotape of Senbei’s father. It is about how to make a love potion. If one takes it, he or she comes to love Senbei. It says that a booger from Senbei and the tears of Ogre-King Gyaska is required for making the love potion. Senbei invents a vehicle named Super Mecha "Ping-Pong", Senbei, Arale Norimaki and Gatchan go forward to Wonder Island where Ogre-King Gyaska is said to dwell. Senbei is such a unreliable man as to mistake dryer to a laser gun. But with powerful Arale and Gatchan with him, there won’t be anything to be afraid of. Well, will his wish come true!?
When local teacher Midori Yamabuki receives an emergency summons to her home planet it turns out to be a trap devised by galactic warlord Dr. Mashirito, and it's up to Dr. Senbei Norimaki and a group of students (including his robot daughter Arale) to venture into space to save her.
Arale and her friends learn of a World Grand Prix being organised by the Radial Kingdom. The prize is marrying Princess Front (a dead ringer to Ms. Yamabuki) or 1 million dollars. Of course they decide to enter for the money. Not so for Dr. Mashirito; he is going for the princess and will stop at nothing to win! The princess though has her own plan, which involves Ms. Yamabuki, and that of course means even Dr. Slump decides to enter with his trusty Borobo. Let the race begin...
Senbei Norimaki finds the secret treasure named “Eye of Rainbow” of the legendary Nanaba Castle in the mountain. This treasure makes every dream come true. When the gang of Arale Norimaki and Gatchan tried to steal the treasure, Bisna, who is the descendant of Nanaba Kingdom, takes the treasure. Bisna wants to revive the devil and Nanaba Kingdom. Arale and her friends went towards the secret Nanaba Castle to get back the treasure.
Arale and her friends from Penguin Village, after watching a movie that mentions Mechapolis, a mecha city, express a desire that it was real. That same night all the children get abducted and end up in the real Mechapolis! They learn that for that night every wish they have will be granted. What could possibly go wrong...
In the Penguin village, a monster named Dodongadon tries to scare people, but it does not work. At one point, Arale goes to see him to play with him, but he finally gets angry and calls his mother. While the villagers attempt going into hiding, it's up to Arale to stop Dodongadon's mother, Mamangadon, from destroying everything!
While at the beach Arale Norimaki rescues a shark. In return, the shark invites her and the rest of the Norimaki's to their underwater city. Meanwhile, Suppaman intends to follow them and get revenge. While in the city, Arale meets Urashima Tarō, who joins Arale while playing at the amusement park.
The Norimaki Family, the Soramame Family, Suppaman, and Dr. Mashirito end up coming to a summer resort which is really a haunted castle filled with monsters. While enjoying the many facilities, such as the arcades and hot spring baths, they all end up falling into the clutches of Vandora, a female vampire who intends to feed off them.
Arale and company arrive at a nice location for a picnic. They soon discover a beautiful stone with strange powers. Before they know it, a dangerous pirate and his mysterious ship invades their peace and steals the stone. Now it is up to them to retrieve the stone before it is used by evil hands.
About a year after the end of Dr. Slump, Dr. Mashirito Jr. returns to avenge his father Dr. Mashirito, the sworn enemy of Senbei Norimaki. He makes an android identical to Arale in every way, except for her personality. He gives the name "Abale" (meaning "rampage" or "brawl") to this android. In spite of Mashirito's evil intentions, Abale turns out merely to have a bad attitude, and she successfully contains the Tech-Tech aliens' invasion in Arale's absence.
